Who am I?
I'm Ange, the founder of Lighthouse Empowerment. Drawing on over two decades of experience in education, I'm passionate about helping people thrive through training and coaching rooted in cognitive psychology.
My professional journey has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed. I've taught for over 20 years and was a Deputy Headteacher in a secondary school. I've also worked as a School Improvement Officer and SLE (Specialist Leader of Education), specialising in quality assurance and professional development. I’ve lectured trainee teachers and my entire professional life has been rooted in facilitating learning, whether for young people or adults. My experience also includes working as a freelance education and leadership consultant. I've authored content on key topics such as cognitive science, retrieval, and encoding for an online CPD company, so you can be sure the strategies I share are grounded in research.
Today, I use this expertise in two key areas. I provide one to one coaching for individuals and deliver training for teams, with a focus on leadership and teamwork development. I help them foster clarity, collaboration, and impact by leveraging my extensive background. I also provide one to one training and coaching for young people, empowering them with the knowledge of how their brain works. This helps them build lasting independence and motivation, giving them the tools they need to be as successful as possible.
When I'm not helping people unlock their potential, I live in beautiful Devon with my dog, Bertie. We love spending time on the water, and I've found that paddleboarding, both with and without my four-legged co-captain, is the perfect way to recharge. It's a great reminder that even when things get a little wobbly, you can always find your balance.
